Flagship Detroit DC-3 March '10

These images of the (currently) oldest flying DC-3, the Flagship Detroit, were taken in March of 2010. This awesome bird visited the Greenville Downtown Airport for three days. The best part of all this was a nearly hour long flight on a PERFECT Monday morning. We headed out over the Lake Hartwell/Keowee area and swung back slightly north near the Foothills. Just plain awesome.

I usually start out a gallery with a "headline" image, then go through chronologically to show the story. Sunday started out looking very promising... NOT. Sunday the 22nd was bitter cold and even had a few specs of hyper-thin flurries for a very short time later that afternoon. Monday was still pretty chilly with gusty winds but was clear as a bell and perfect for flight.

If I were to get a chance to do it again the images and vidz would be tons better. I have better equipment and now shoot all my images in RAW, not just JPEG. I'll be populating this gallery over the coming days.
