Blue Angels - Historic Charleston Harbor Air Show 2010
Images captured from the two day Blue Angels' historic Charleston Harbor Air Show on Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, the 18th, 2010.
Saturday the shots were taken from on board the Carolina Belle during their Air Show-specific Harbor cruise. We headed out to near Fort Sumter and then the air show began. It took a bit to get back in to where the show was front and center but... once in the air craft were often flying right over us.
Sunday's shots were taken from the front row of the Fort Sumter Museum wharf, right next to the SC Aquarium on the harbor front. Sunday's show seemed to follow a different plan and paths. A good bit of the show was right in our face.
All in all, an awesome display. This was my first air show as a DSLR photographer. Still much to learn but had a blast. Was so inspired by the Blue Angels that the following month I attended the Thunderbird's Air Show at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. That folder will be up shortly.
